On a Thursday night 10-weeks ago, thousands of people across the country took to their front doorsteps to show their appreciation to both healthcare and key workers alike. Unbeknownst to us at that moment, this would become a weekly tradition to celebrate people who have been working tirelessly to keep the country running throughout this period of uncertainty. This includes all of the team at E-zec who have continued to provide a crucial service to our patients.

Despite this being the final week of the clap for carers event, you don’t have to look far to see the public acknowledgment to the commitment that all healthcare workers, both within E-zec and across the board, have shown. Across the country, many people have displayed rainbows in their windows, or on flags, as a show of solidarity, and it’s very heartening to see.

Whilst we love to see these pictures in people’s windows, we’ve also really enjoyed receiving some of these creations for display within our offices. In Stafford, our colleague’s families, and the local community have given us some beautiful pictures which we have proudly displayed on our notice board. We’ve also fallen in love with an adorable, knitted, Ambulance Care Bear who was knitted by a family member of Karen St Clair, our Training Coordinator in Dorset.

All of these little touches from the public just echo our thoughts, we truly appreciate the hard work shown by each and every one of our team. A sincere thank-you for everything you have done, and for showing our patients the care and compassion that they have come to expect from E-zec.  We couldn’t do this without you.
